Near 400HP BBX Lite + CBRD Tubular + almost all bolt ons - 91 OCT tuned

I'm sure Chad Block would call this another BBX Lite success story After much deliberation over which turbo to go I finally took the plunged and went with BBX Lite (originally was going to go FULL but was recommended otherwise).

Sorry I don't have #'s before the tune, my car was running S2 package (indicated with *) untuned & I wanted to get this all tuned in one go.

CBRD BBX Lite
CBRD Tubular
AMS Fuel Rail
ID 1000 Injectors
*ETS FMIC 4'
*ETS U + L Pipes
*ETS Intake
*CNT Downpipe (*200 cell catted)
*CNT Dual Exhaust
Cobb Walbro fuel pump kit
GrimSpeed 3-Port

(other stuff)
AEM wideband
Defi boost gauge
XXR 527's (18*9.75 wrapped 245/40/18)

(things to do)
get rid of the stock o2 housing with AMS, ETS, UR

All tuned by COBB SoCal on 91 OCT (OpenSource tune) 10/22/11

My goal was to make 400 power but I knew it would be hard on 91 oct without pushing it really hard. After the holidays I may go back to swap out the housing and re-tune but, I'll have to first weigh the pros and cons.
(383qhp/341tq - for those who can't see the #'s)

Decent numbers! Stock o2 housing, the cat, and 91 octane are really holding you back

Aquamist?

If you don't mind me asking, what rims are on your car? I don't really care for the color but they look really nice!

*edit* you said XXR 527's, sorry I can't read!

Nothing I can do about 91 oct, its all that is readily available without making fueling up a huge inconvenience.

Nice numbers, get an 02 housing DP and you'll probably see solid 10whp peak and probably more in the midrange.

Great numbers dude. I was looking for someone to get the bbx lite in cali and have it tuned on crap 91oct, the number turned out better that i was expecting. it looked like boost was holding strong at 25psi seem's like a very safe tune. Thanks for sharing. Are you planing on just daily driving the car or are you planing on tracking it?

Thanks.

It's just for daily, and yes it holds boost just fine throughout the power band even 5th gear (which before my tune was sluggish) is a monster and the car just GOES lol. It's tons of fun.

My goal was to hit 400 whp and I'm pretty close. I'm happy with the Lite, I originally wanted BBX Full or FP Black but was really worried about lag time on the stock cams & block. I think I can hit my goal with a housing DP + test pipe. I may go AMS cams but not sure if it's worth it on the Lite. Anywho really happy with the results, its a beast to drive.

I can always send in my original turbo and get it upgraded to a BBX Full but I don't see that happy anytime in the future, I am happy where I'm at and I just want to make a few extra payments on her before I jump into my next project.

I hit 395hp/350tq at RRE. I think BBX light is the perfect DD Turbo. You get used to the power quickly though and want more. I wish we had E-85 close to SF Valley. Thinking about cams and or Meth. Or I just leave it alone and put nice leather in the car instead.

I do not regret the lite though, as uphill canyon driving is allready a *****. Who wants to drive high RPM's all the time. I know it is only 400 RPM or so but...

Enyoy a fun street car and I like those wheels too, reasonably priced.

Your mod list is pretty much exactly what I want to do. I am planning on using the BBX lite also with some Kelford 214b cams.
