2011 EVO X MR: ETS T3 BB 5858, 393whp on 91 Octane

The goal for my 2011 EVO X MR is to create a fast and reliable daily driver. I knew I wanted around 400whp and 350wtq as I believe these numbers are about at the limit for the stock block. My current mod list is as follows:

ETS T3 Turbo Kit:
-Precision Turbo Ball-bearing 5858 (.63 A/R)
-ETS exhaust manifold (heat wrapped)
-ETS downpipe (heat wrapped) with Tial 44mm wastegate
-ETS test pipe with high flow cat
-ETS Upper Intercooler Pipe
-ETS 4'' Intake

Other Performance:
-AMS Front Mount Intercooler
-Greddy SE catback exhaust

Supporting Mods:
-Grimmspeed 3-port EBCS
-ID 1000cc Injectors
-DW 265 fuel pump

The kit was installed and tuned at COBB in Plano, TX. They did a great job on both the install and tune.

I am currently working in Midland, TX and unfortunately they only have 91 octane out here.

I am happy with the numbers considering the restrictive 91 octane. The car is a MR so it has the SST transmission.

The car made 393whp and 346wtq at 27 psi on Cobb's mustang dyno.

Cobb should have a video of the dyno up in a week or two.

Here is the dyno sheet:

UPDATE: 8/9/12:

Just got it tuned on e85...

Car made 452whp and 364wtq at 25.9 psi on a mustang dyno (Cobb)! Has more in it for sure but didn't wanna push the torque on the stock block/tranny.

I will upload the e85 dyno sheet soon.

Good to see more MRs coming out with bigger setups

How come you decided on Cobb instead of ssp? Both in TX.

Great powerband tho damn, you'll be happy with that for sure. For now haha

I went to school in Fort Worth (TCU) and I have used Cobb before so I was familiar with them. Also a closer drive from Midland to DFW than Midland to Houston (isn't SSP in houston?).

The power is really disappointing, too. Why you would spend that much money and get so little out of it is beyond me. For $2k less, you could have had an FP-Green and probably made more power.

is not the same, why get a fp green?
If he will upgrate his clutch pack ,can turn on boost and go for better powerband.

With green he need to change turbo to have bettere result ,imho.

What do you think?

Maybe with a FP red yes... Green probably not.

1. My car is a MR which makes less power on dyno due to SST transmission.
2. My car was tuned on 91 octane which makes less power than cars tuned on 93 octane.
3. All dyno's read different (Cobb's is a low-reading mustang dyno) and peak numbers aren't everything.
4. The T3 kit is easily upgradeable in the future when I decide to build the motor.
5. I like having a complete kit from one company (I'm a little OCD, haha).

I am happy with the numbers, they are close to what I was hoping for (400whp 350wtq) and almost as high as you can safely go on the stock block.

Look online at Cobb's website where they have customer's dyno graphs. You will see alot of FP greens making more power than you with either the same or less boost.

Cobb does have a mustang dyno but it is not a "low" reading mustang dyno. There are a bunch of other mustang dynos that read lower, i.e. CBRD, Buschur, Razorlab's...
