386whp 350ft-lbs 92oct stock turbo english racing tuned

I took my 2008 X GSR to English Racing last week to have them install an ETS o2 dump downpipe and retune the car.
Extremely happy with the numbers and the overall service provided by everyone at ER.

Engine/Turbo:
Stock block
Stock turbo
Stock head
92 octane pump gas

Relevant mod list:

ETS 4.0'' fmic
ETS UICP
ETS intake
ETS o2 dump downpipe
Invidia n1 cbe w/ test pipe
Grimmspeed 3-port ebc
Walbro 255lph fuel pump

Dyno sheet:

Special thank you to Aaron for another great tune, as well as Myles and Lucas for the unparalleled customer service on your off day

Great power and flat torque from 4k - 6k, I wonder how they got the tq to stay that flat in the mid range!

Wastegate won't be upgraded until late spring or early summer, along with 1100cc injectors and a new turbo (likely the GTX3076R). In the meantime, ETS exhaust manifold and arp head studs will be going in, the car will then be retuned..hoping for 400whp out of the stock turbo on 92 but we will see.

DONT CHANGE YOUR TURBO!!!! ........i have an fp red right now....since 3-4 years and im going back to stock!!...stock turbo is FASTER on the street and on a track!! more torque...more FUN!!!...

put an exhaust manifold and some cams and youll see some 425+whp and close to 400wtq...for sure youll have to build your bottom end :-p

anyway thats my opinion :-p

only by putting on that exhaust manifold..without a tune youll get to 400+

I appreciate the input. Does your JB red spool all that much slower than the stock turbo did for you? For my goals and what I will be using the car for, I certainly don't want too much lag. In light of that, I'm only looking at ball bearing turbos. I've seen a few examples of dbb fp blacks spooling to ~25psi shortly after 4000rpm. On a well prepared engine, and the setup I'm going with I anticipate the GTX3076r (also bb) hitting full boost at 4000-4200rpm. That's certainly more lag than the stock turbo, but the power that will accompany that should make up for the later spool. Not to mention, the stock turbo loses a lot of steam north of 6500rpm.

seriously......its crazy!!! i tuned my car myself...ive hit 27psi at 3950rpm on 91 oct!! but seriously its all around 4k!!......BUTTTTT its not only full throttle...part throttle is getting me MAD!!! seriously!!! depends what you want to do....i have over 130k miles on my car and in the mountains and on the road i ate it!!! if you want to go stroker or bored....go for a big one!!! anyway thats my opinion!!!for a daily driving car...i would suggest stock...or those new 18k or mhi or a ballbearing green!!! the power is soooooo close to those big turbos but the car would be so much better!!! I DO THINK THAT DOWN LOW TORQUE IS THE BEST!!!....anyway if you get 450whp on a small turbo....or 500whp on a big one.....you wont get much faster with that big.

stock turbo guys are in the 11sec quarter mile.....youll do the same with an fp red or black or whatever!! it all depends on WHAT YOU WANT

i dynoed 387whp on my fp red with the same bolt-ons has you but at 7500rpm....you got the same power but at 6500rpm,.,,,and i think it was the same dyno!!! thats all why im going back to stock turbo

Just curious, why does your peak torque hit so late?

peak torque is at 38-3900 rpm which is pretty on the spot for a stock turbo!!!

What test pipe do you have mated with the Invidia N1 Catback?

I thought the Invidia Test pipe was a one piece unit with their own downpipe.
