Paul's TTP Tuned Stock Evo X GSR +80whp!

We had spoken to Paul a number of times via phone before he decided to take the few hour trip out to Orlando, FL to come see us. Paul had a number of questions regarding the Evo X, warranty, reversibility of the reflash and so on. We answered his questions (at least I hope) to his satisfaction and he made an appointment for Memorial Day.

Yeah, while all you guys were at the beach having fun, we were working. :updown:

Anyhow, we strapped down Paul's bone stock X GSR to the dyno and went to work. The baseline and after tuning numbers and graphs are displayed below. We maxed out his boost control solenoids so his boost wasn't as high as we could have safely taken it but it made plenty of power nonetheless.

Here are the graphs;

For those interested in what a 60% filter looks like which is how BR displays their sheets, here is what that looks like:

that is incredible power for a mustang dyno and just a tune if I read correctly.

nice work

great work and awesome charts. {thumbup}

what kind of a/f where you seeing on the stock run? and by bone stock, not even a drop in air filter?

GGIXMRSE06 May 26, 2009 02:34 PM

Great numbers. Time for some upgrades!

We believe that Paul had dealer reflash 2 on his ECU. His was in the 10.0 range whereas older ECU mapping is into the 9's. Stock intake filter. No upgrades.

Wow. Thats impressive for simply tuning.

flyguycfi May 26, 2009 04:06 PM

TTP, you think mine was the older ECU version that caused the misfiring on the high end?

Great gains! TTP at it's best again!{thumbup}

Incredible numbers again keep it up{thumbup}

We believe that you had the original mapping from Mitsubishi :mitsu: in your ECU. We remember on your baseline run, the car would barely run over 6500rpm there was so much fuel.

Still to this day we believe that mitsubishi made a critical error in the mapping of their ECU with the Evo X. Even in pre-release magazine tests the misfiring upper RPM problems were mentioned and demonstrated.

The ZChip was the first end user tunable interface in the market to fix this issue which was followed by our ECU reflash services where we are able to custom tailor boost with the factory ECU as well as in Paul's car above.

Great gains. Do you also have the AFR and boost curves?

nice power from a tune

What is the cause of that torque spike around 4100 rpm? Even after the 60 smoothing factor it was still there.

The boost solenoid duty cycles were near maxed. There was a slight fluctuation in boost which peaked a little at that rpm.
