MAP's 2008 Evolution X GSR Build Thread aka Project GGX
Quick Jump / Thread Navigation:
MAP 3.5" Short Ram Intake / Dyno Results MAP Turbo-Back Exhaust / Fuel System Upgrades / Manual Boost Controller / Dyno Results 407whp / Stock Turbo with Fuel Pump Rewire *NEW* 603whp / 503wtq / Full Spool ~3300 Well, we've been selling Evo X products for a while now (we actually make several of own in house) and previously had to rely on our local MN Evo X owners for any product development or testing. As our plans for the platform have expanded significantly we decided to bite the bullet and pick one up for ourselves. I found this beauty at a dealership in Madison, WI (about 250 miles from our shop) and simply couldn't ignore the fact that the previous owner only managed to put 13,9XX miles on it in over two years! The body is pristine and the only flaw I could really find was some curb rash, but the stock wheels will be coming off soon anyways ;) We've got big plans for this project, which is also my daily driver, but I can't spill the beans just yet. This thread will document the entire build process including installation guides, tech articles, and dyno results. Below is what we're working with as a baseline on 91 octane, it's hard to tell but this thing is super rich, a tune alone should yield substantial gains. Your comments and/or suggestions for the project would be greatly appreciated :) |
Nice Chris! Looking good sir.
Does it have a few mods on it already? That seems like pretty high numbers. |
Looks bone stock from what I can tell and we didn't touch the tune, what do they generally make in stock form on a Dynojet?

277 on 91... something is really fishy
|
^ I agree, lol, thats why I asked. I don't think Chris is making anything up though, its not like he is claiming some record or something haha.
It is a used car so its hard to know for sure at this point. My guess is previous mods were done. |

On dynojets they typically make between 230-245 area I believe. Strange, maybe yours is slightly tuned or something.
Yes, this dynojet reads in line with all others that I have seen though typically, I just think Chris' car has some mods or something...or maybe a factory beast who knows, lol.

Boost looks fine, stock ones run 21-23 and usually dip down to 11-13psi at redline on a total stock car.
FACTORY FREAK! You lucky dawg you. My car stock dipped into the 9's for AFR, but who knows. Are those uncorrected numbers? It is cold outside haha. Let me know if you want me to remove this and I will, but here is what ETS showed stock on their dyno. The higher line is with a boost controller. http://img116.imageshack.us/img116/5...sembc22gs6.jpg |

my 2011 made 277 on a dynojet...
edit: on 92 octane |
Maybe this car has the latest/greatest reflash from the dealer? Depending on what Mitsu actually changes in those dealer reflashes it could potentially aid it in making the power of a stock 2010/11.
