Dyno'd today

Synaptic 3 Performance - Candia, NH
I was experiencing horrible bucking earlier and posted a thread about it. Yes it was a fuel issue! im glad i purchased a updated fuel relay last week. i didnt swap it out until the dyno. they swapped the stock boost solenoid out with a 3 port solenoid, to help spooling. cost $99 plus labor $85. now car is ready for mustang dyno. so heres what happened. the first run dyno shuts down at 4Kish. he tells me the cycle duty was 115%!!! he asks me if i have replaced the fuel relay yet i tell him no but i bought one and its in the glove box. he says its already got a green one in it so he swaps out the green for green, and does another pull. it shuts down again. now he says to me you might need to replace the fuel pump. then he says let me make sure its the right relay. this is why i didnt change it either after i bought it. to me it looked like the black was already swapped out of the green. some reason we both looked at the diagram posted on this forum wrong. now he sees that there is a black one that is supposed to be swapped. ok. ready for another pull. car pulls like a beast to 7500. but he tells me that the duty cycle is still hitting 100% just before redline. he sugests upgrading the fuel pump to a 340, and adding a down pipe. so i need more fuel and more flow. to allow the turbo to go higher psi safely. sadly, because of the problem with the fuel relay we never got a decent base run with my intake and exhaust prior to tuning. so here are some numbers. turbo runs safely at 24.9 max boost begining at 3200rpms then maintains max boost till 6350 with an average of 21.7psi and a minimum of 10.9psi. AFR is a very nice line. the minimum was 11.2, max was at 11.8, with an average of 11.6 Torque - 299/Power - 298 this is recalculated in the end by the machine for some reason because after the run the numbers posted 308/307. he explained its something the machine does but i didnt catch the whole explanation behind it. i asked him to make a guess what power with an upgraded fuel pump and nice flowing down pipe would make hes thinking about 25-30 more. car runs beautifully now. nice heavy pulls. no jerking any more. made some decent numbers for an intake, catback exhaust, and tune. dyno tune cost was $500. making the grand total for todays dyno $712  |

Seems at least the car is safe to drive now with a new FP relay...

impressive!

im running 100% stock fuel system with 28 psi and my duty is at like 85%.... there should be no reason why you need to replace your fuel pump
and that was when i was on the black relay just with bolt ons 330whp 390wtq |

nice! so do they do a boost leak test as part of the pre-requisite for a dyno tune to rule out any issues? do you know what a stock evo x makes on this dyno?

Im guessing this is 91oct? I made the exact same numbers on a mustang dyno on a hot ass day in El Paso (5000ft altitude) on 91 back in the day on an OTS Cobb map
