2013 Gsr EvoX Ef2.5 IVEYtune (RETUNE)
So Im back for a retune by Sean and company. My first tune pulled 383whp 344tq 25psi 93oct(see earlier thread "Gsr 2.5 IVEYtuned"
DIDNT fully know what the issue was with seeing knock in the first tune above 25psi. Had 2300 low miles on motor. But we also think it was due to bad 93 gas from MD. Back now with 4150 miles on the car with hopefully a better tank of better quality gas in BP 93oct. Also going to run 100oct race gas Sunoco tune too. MAP EF2.5 (Thermal Coated, Turbine Ported). Ultimate Racing Turbo Back Exhaust Dual Titanium(testpipe) ETS 3.5 Intercooler Upper/Lower Piping ETS CAI Open Intake Walbro 255 Grimspeed 3Port AEM Wideband Glowshift Bst Gauge Inj. Dynamics 1000cc TurboSmart 50/50 BOV (recirclated this time) stock internals. |
Results. MD's gas is garbage. But my 100oct' tune feels hella great.
Sean worked a miracle with that crappy quality 93oct gas which got 357whp 315wtq 24psi. Which has dropped from the original 383whp 344wtq 25psi which was on the 93 crappy quality gas. MD just has bad quality gas from what they saw. But the race gas tune 412whp 353wtq 27.5psi feels great and is a good choice replacement for meth for me. thanks again Sean Dave Will at Iveytune. |

No E85 tune?
|
Nice, I like to see the power keep climbing, 400WHP is always fun, congrats!

I have 100 octane at only one gas station in my area. Cam 2 race gas. Is 100oct the same as E85?

100% octane requires no modifications like e85 compatible gas lines in the fuel tank and pump, or fuel components (which he already has). People run 85 on stock components but its just better safe than sorry, but great numbers nonetheless. Disgusted is correct though you can turn up the boost huge like, because e85 burns cooler.
|
It sucks to not have e85 within a couple hundred miles. The gas station that has the 100 oct has 110 and 114 oct but its leaded.
|
Running leaded every now and again won't hurt anything as long as you don't have a cat. The biggest risk would be fouling your front o2 sensor from lead build-up.

Seriously? I mean anything past 12.0-1 and you are asking for detonation. A stand alone might not even pull timing and you'll grenade your engine. 93 octane has limits. On 100 obviously a lot higher.
