That's quite impressive on stock block! I'd love to see this car's longevity and be kept up to date how its doing.

ddlopresti Feb 19, 2016 08:42 AM

wow, serious power on the stock block. Wonder how much it would make if it could rev to 9.5 or so.

e_kobz Feb 19, 2016 08:48 AM

Impressive numbers, especially considering its still on the tooth pick oem rods. Nice job

moparfan Feb 19, 2016 12:45 PM

Looks great and, to echo the other posters, for how long?

I would be interested in what you think the tradeoffs between output, rev limit, driving style (?!) and longevity are.

MOREPSiTEHBETT4 Feb 21, 2016 11:46 AM

that 4" ets ic must be really hating life, needs more intercooling.

evolved0414 Feb 21, 2016 04:54 PM

This is actually my car that Chris posted about and the work that was done was flawless. You really have to see it in person, but the turbo kit is a work of art. The car pulls hard and the powerband is super smooth. Chris @ Moore Automotive has done all my work which is why I have no doubt that my car will stay healthy, especially since the power that was made was only at 29psi. Thanks for the kind words guys!

You sure about that? Pretty sure the ETS 4" intercooler is good for 820hp, per their website.

Amazing build as usual from the guys down at Moore. Keep up the good work!

Love to see another EFR turbo, can't wait to get mine running!

smevox Mar 3, 2016 04:30 PM

did this explode yet?

But seriously, any updates on the car?

evoless Apr 10, 2016 04:45 PM

I just love that powerband and shelf like torque..

EvoXer0 Apr 11, 2016 09:40 AM

Awesome #'s on stock block! Like others, id like to see the longevity too. Itd be nice to know we can make these numbers reliably on the stock block.

Have fun with the new power!

evolved0414 Apr 22, 2016 08:49 AM

Just an update guys! The car is doing very well and when you go to see Chris @ Moore Automotive, you can be rest assured that they will tune your car and give you expert advice to lead you to a reliable and safe setup. Haven't been driving it alot lately because of all the pollen but car season is just around the corner!

ddlopresti Apr 22, 2016 12:44 PM

looks like a blast, I'm getting a 7670 on a stock block with S1 cams at Moore (trying to keep good spool for tight road race courses) and can't wait.

Realbaman Apr 22, 2016 11:32 PM

Moore, I know this thread is for the EFR9180 but I'm really interested in your EFR8374 kit & what materials you use, is it EWG, top or bottom mount kit, do you supply heat shielding any pros or cons is there any problems with fitting issues???
Also do you have any detail pictures of the turbo kit as well plz?

moparfan Apr 23, 2016 05:53 AM

Could you detail what you've learned from them about what this setup would entail and perform?

From what I've read and heard, it looks like it should be hitting peak tq around 4k and hold that or close to it until redline. Should make around 500 WHP and 380 wtq (tq limit is stock block) to redline on 93 and maybe 550 or so on E85.

What do you mean what it would entail? Do you mean cost? Feel free to shoot me a pm too.

awdxftw May 10, 2016 08:53 PM

Stock fuel rail?

Esthetics May 11, 2016 09:26 AM

That is a nice powerband, hopefully the car is still holding up well!

blue_evo May 11, 2016 04:26 PM

I can personally say that this car is freaking amazing and still holding up well...

ddlopresti May 12, 2016 07:36 AM

how many miles have you put on the setup? any track days or 1/4?

With the large twin EWG, does it not overboost and how does the boost do in cold/hot weather? Just wondering if it changes less depending on weather since the large wastegates might be able to control overboosting better?

SurfGuruJeff Jun 27, 2016 10:21 AM

Impressive! Must be a great tune.

Hiboost Jun 27, 2016 08:35 PM

Proof that it's not impossible to run a large turbo on a stock block if you keep torque in check with a solid tune. What many don't realize is that 29 psi on a large turbo is a cooler air charge than 29 psi on a smaller turbo so you get better efficiency with more airflow at the same pressure. Looks like a very fun ride!

evolved0414 Jul 15, 2016 12:27 PM

^^Exactly. The power doesn't hit hard early in the powerband like a stock frame turbo does. I am so happy and glad I went with this setup. It performs flawlessly! Thank to Chris @ Moore Automotive

gray-fox Jul 15, 2016 11:47 PM

dangg 645 on stock bottom end, you've got balls! nice work!

This hasn't been answered yet. I would like to no as well. I just bought a 8374 iwg kit from Full race and have a stock fuel rail and fpr. I'm just hoping I don't need to upgrade them. If I do just wanna do it while I am putting in my cams. Whenever they arrive that is.

I just assumed it's aftermarket after consulting with my tuner. He told me with efr kits you should 100% at least run a fpr with a bigger feed.

Found this in an older thread that Mellon racing gave some advice in

Young king 2289 Aug 20, 2016 05:42 PM

Thanks guys I think I have a better understanding of it now,now is it better to have a ewg than a iwg

The a/r is the housing size. 1.05 is prob ideal for this turbo I know they make a smaller or a huge 1.45

soobieajax325 Aug 24, 2016 05:09 PM

Wowzers

stigmeister Sep 8, 2016 05:06 PM

Any issues with overboosting?

godlikelol Apr 23, 2017 12:06 PM

been a long time hows this build holding up on the engine

evolved0414 May 2, 2017 07:36 AM

My engine was holding up flawlessly. I just actually went fully sleeved 2.0 but when we tore down the stock block, the rods, pistons and cylinder walls all looked great. No pre-mature bending on the rods at all. Just wanted to update everyone!

ddlopresti May 2, 2017 07:54 AM

how many miles did you have on the setup, how many track miles and hard driving or mostly highway use? That's awesome that it held up like that. I'm in the process of going sleeved 2.0 with carrillo pro-h rods and wiseco pistons and sticking with my 7670 setup. Can't wait to see what she will do when i turn up the boost....

Aidanlee1 Jun 14, 2017 03:45 PM

That is awesome numbers!!
