2010 Instrument Cluster LCD into a 2008?

Hi Yall,

Anyone tried this yet?

New LCD looks pretty good.

Anyone got any part numbers or anything?

Cheers
D.

I remember someone about a month ago (can't find the thread) saying that it could be done, but that they would need to change out your entire gauge cluster and that it could get pretty expensive. I haven't heard anything else.

If it's an inexpensive thing to do on my own, I'd go for it. Why not!

It's not going to be a straight across swap. The new display is larger and has a bezel around it so you may have to change the complete overlay.

I want this as well. There has to be a way to do it. I have a question. Where exactly is the odo stored? Is it in the gauge unit or elsewhere? I know with hondas its the gauge bezel.

I am actually in the process of tracking a 2010 down for my 08 I just picked up. Since my car is new its not a big deal but the new cluster will reset your odometer to 0 which will make it 'technically' illegal. Otherwise, I hear its a direct swap in. Ill keep you posted since getting a new cluster is going to take some time.

..... I personally like the red vs the color. But I wish I had the temp gauge always shown like on the colored one.

You can have it but you have to swap the entire cluster. I wasn't clear on my post but you should have no issues swapping clusters but swapping the LCD only probably won't be possible. I cringe to think of how much a new cluster would cost.

It would be too much of a hassle. The smartest way is to trade up.
