2010 Traffic Updates with NAV ?

Im getting ready to trade in my EVO 8 and E46 M3 for an EVO X. Ive test drove, researched and I'm ready.

Anyone have any information on if this is true for the EVO also?

I don't believe the 2010 Evo nav has this. My recommendation would be that if navigation is a big deal for you, go with the lowest end stock radio you can get, and go aftermarket with the Nav system.

Its not a big deal to me but I would like to stay OEM, I have already decided on getting the OEM nav regardless of the traffic function.

The Outlander and Evo in 08 had the same nav I beileve so it would be extra awesome if this was the case.

I have a DXN91xx in my Ford escape, LOVE IT.

OEM for me guys, If it breaks I want mitsu to fix it. I'm trying to keep any non go fast mods to an absolute minimum with this car. If the OEM nav isn't perfect I don't care, as long as it will get me where I'm going I'm happy. The Traffic updates would just be a nice add on.

Since everyone just wants to recommend something instead of answering the question Ill ask tonight when I'm at mistu.

why spend over 2000 dollars when you can get a better unit for 700?

You could throw it away 3 times and still be ahead!

Alright so I'm not trying to be a jerk or attack anyone since Im new to this forum, I'm getting irritated.

I don't want BETTER, I want OEM!!

I don't care if it plays DVD's while I drive, I don't care about putting custom wallpaper.

I don't want to install an aftermarket unit, I don't want to pay someone to do it, I want it just all there the day I drive off

The OEM Navi is fine. It gets the job done. And, it's OEM like you said you wanted. It's not better than an aftermarket, but it works just fine. For me, the only thing I wish it did better was have a real iPod integration. That's really the only thing it is missing. Other than that, it works fine.

On your point about traffic updates, it does NOT have that functionality.

The oem also does a lot of real time stats, like a lap counter, outside temp records, altitude and barometer, keeps all your maintenance on their up to date even like when to rotate wheels and lots of other fun stuff (not sure if aftermarket can do all that). The 40 gig hard drive is way nice to, it works instantly to the touch, much faster then using CD's. And It will help much more in your resale then aftermarket.

I was really excited about the lap timer on the MMCS until I figured out that you could only interact with it on the screen. Last thing I'm inclined to do when I'm on the track is go fumbling around with the stereo.

The new Fuse system will
1. ipod control / usb control
2. Real time traffic RDS
3. Voice Controls
4. Import Contacts / and play music over blue tooth.

I did not make it into the 2010 lancer but its available on the outlander..

I was told that it will be on the late build 2010 but for shure on the 2011..

I have an 08 and I want pictures of the back of the unit.. Im hopping i can just plug it in and update the blue tooth module.

This is sorta along the lines of what I was thinking since the EVOlander is getting this system.
