Problem with (left channel?) OEM MP3/CD - Non-Navi

Initially I thought both my left speakers had blown, but they sound fine when listening to the radio.

It would seem like the left output channel of the CD/MP3 unit is messed up, but then I thought it was integrated into the radio anyway. Has anyone encountered this before?

I've got a 2008 GSR with the stock factory (no-nav no-rockford) system, and it's been fine for the last 3 years... just up until a week after my bumper-to-bumper expired.

Think I remember reading of a few instances where this has happened before, and it ended up being something faulty with the stereo itself. I'm pretty sure it was covered under warranty, and the source unit was replaced.. but that kinda sucks about your 3-year warranty ending.

Might wanna just get in there and make sure the wiring harness on the back hasn't worked itself partially loose or something weird. Otherwise, maybe find a used non-RF stereo that somebody swapped out for aftermarket, or go with an aftermarket setup yourself.

..or just listen to AM/FM radio only, lol.

Mine did the same. The drivers side was intermittent when playing a cd but worked fine with the radio. I took it in and they replaced it under warranty. The replacement lasted a month before they had to replace it again. Has been fine since.
