So I finally got around to taking my front bumper off yesterday to look at my FMIC and fog light set-up. I bought this car used this past summer from a small dealer who didn't have the previous owners contact info. / they wouldn't allow me to contact the person even if they did. I wanted to see what bulbs were being used for my fog lights because they seemed very bright and had some good range. I wanted to see if they were HID and if so, I could just purchase new bulbs for them rather than having to buy the HID ballasts as well.

I want to get some HID yellow fogs and was wondering what bulbs would work with the ballasts I have? Is it universal or specific to each type of ballasts? I tried searching for these ballasts on the forums but came up with nothing.

They are HID system XE-1688. I'll provide a pic below. The wiring set up was pretty confusing and didn't seem too secure, but seemed to be holding up alright. My main question is what type of bulbs can be used with these ballasts? I want some HID yellow fog lights rather than the whitish/blue in there now.

If any of y'all can help me out that'd be great. Everything that appeared when I searched for these ballasts were for headlights.

For them to plug into the OE housing, they must be H11's if I remember correctly.

You should be able to buy new bulbs from somewhere like ddm tuning, as the ballasts you put photos up look identical to theirs.
