Its a very faint shake, and maybe I just notice it since the car now has a fairly sharp cutoff line that it never had with the halogens.
Yes, it's most likely the car shaking. You don't realize it with stock SSS or halogens because of the fuzzy cutoffs on the stock HIDs (or halogens not really showing it). Sharp cutoff will definitely show vibrating.

Man, I wish I was a vendor on here..ugh..y'all need blackouts and retrofits.

Okay, I was about to install this when I realized the Depo lights only have one dongle (sp?) One plug, while my OEM reflector housing has 2. What do I do with the extra plug? Do I need it?

If you're going to DIY, use the following trifecta from The Retrofit Source:
Hella EvoX-R Bi-xenon projectors
Morimoto 3Five 35w D2S Ballast
Morimoto 35w 4300/5000k D2S bulbs

Throw in a jRox DRL bypass harness for ease of connectivity and zero flicker and you're good to go.

So really it's a quadfecta.

Bump!

Guys hello.

I've found out an other product of Depo with leveling motor built on (I'm guessing). So just to be sure I emailed the company.

I'll let you guys now if I get an answer.

Here's the email I sent

Dear Entitled,

I would like to buy your product (projector headlight) but I've some quaries.

First of all at your catalogue I saw two versions of the good I would like to buy.

One of them's product code is; 214-1191PXLDEM2 ( I guess for left handed cars? )

The other one ; 314-1142PXUS2 (Also for left haded cars?)

The question is; does both models have leveling motor build in which is controlled from the switch inside the car? If not, are the motors of the oem headlight's can be un-installed and re-installed to your's headlights?

And where is the closest distrubuter, seller, reseller etc. to my location which is TURKEY? So I can order.

If you can answer, I will buy them.

Kelkek,

While I do not know the answer to the model # question you are asking, you possibly may be right about the left hand drive and right hand drive being the difference. Also the DEPOS do not come with a leveling switch, but once in the car, they are really easily adjustable by just turning the screws. I only had mine "leveled" once and never looked back. I left my cutoff line just slightly below the bottom of another evos tail lights

Hi Kelkek,

214-1191PXLDEM2 will not have levelling motors, but the wiring is there and the plug to retrofit them onto the headlight this will be the same for 214-1191PXRDEM2. The wiring for leveling motor is controlled via the main harness, it won't be the small connector.

All you need (when motors are fittend to headlight) is the levelling switch and it will be plug and play. (I have had a test set for the last month and a half)

The bulb fitment for these 214-1191PXRD(and LD)EM2 ECE headlights are H7 for low beam and HB3 for high beam, T10 for parkers, and T20 for indicators. HB4 (for low beam) was not used as they weren't able to receive ECE certification if they were used.

The H7 used is similar to the E60 BMW, it is a long pin push and turn. It uses an adapter to mount H7 bulb, again similar to an E60.

314-1142PXUS2 is for US market only and unfortunately you can not put existing motors in these as the mould is different to where the motor would normally be retro-fitted into the headlight. Bummer

214-1191L/R-LEHM2 and 214-1191L/R-REHM2 are for EVO X with OEM HID's, basically they are an OEM replacement, and have now been released by DEPO, they will not have motors either, you will need existing or obtain them new from somewhere.

A place in Australia will soon have 214-1191PXRDEM2, and will be the first in the world to have them, retrofitted with OEM ballasts, levelling motors, levelling switch, and custom made adaptors to accomodate a D2S Philips based capsule similar to the 6000k Ultinon. It will also include other goodies I can not mention yet.

They will be offering motors and levelling switch as a package to customers around the world, when 214-1191PXLDEM2 hits locally to their respective countries.

Again, DEPO will not be including motors with these headlights, but female plug is included with headlight to connect to motors (they even have an instructional paper inside how they are fitted) why they didn't include the motors when they have these instructions inside the box, I do not know. I guess they were covering countries that maybe had them stock with halogen perhaps???

Hope this info helps.

Thanks to Bob, helping with my account! Great help

Hi Kelkek,

I'll see what I can do on Monday and find out who has LHD version in Turkey. It's still very new so not sure who may have ordered it, or even if they have!?

It will be available just need patience , they are excellent quality, and in my opinion the cut off is quite nice, DEPO have done a great job on them.

I can't believe how long it's taken, the wait is over!

EDIT:

Hi Kellek,

Unfortunately DEPO have not sold any LHD version in Turkey as of yet. Please contact a company (that deals with DEPO) if you can find in Turkey, and possibly tell them to ask DEPO to airfreight one for you, they should be able to do this, obviously you will have to pay for airfreight (around USD$140 EMS), they will have to send to seller though first, they won't send direct to customer (you).

I've already contacted the local distrubutor 1 month ago approx. and they said this product is not in production line as TBA written in the catalogue(they said TBA note used for non-in production yet products) and directed me to a non-projector hl set..

so just to be sure, I'll try my luck again tho, I'll be asking for the 214-1191PXLDEM2 coded product right? this thing is in production? and if they decline my demand, how can I persuade them?

oh man your help is really appriciated you can't just know..

Buy the depo's and put the OEM lenses on them if you're that worried...

I've used Depo headlights and taillights in several vehicles over the years. Never had any long term yellowing/peeling. I really wouldn't be worried.

Hey there Micky! Long time no see..

After a long harsh fighting period I persuaded my local Depo dealer (which is the only one within Turkey) to ask for stock on the headlights which I want and waiting for the price and availability return. If they don't mess up the price I'll eventually order the HL's

Meanwhile, do we have a chance to see the instructions about this electric motor of leveling which you mentioned before?

For the stock evo HL's, I saw a little 3 pin (Blue coloured) socket under the big main connection socket. I guess that's the socket which the leveling socket connects. And I have this socket already hanging around at the back of my stock headlights.

Thanks for your great support!
