If you arent familiar with the DRL, they cause HID's to flicker or have issues turning on. By disabling the DRL, it makes the HID's to work properly.
Exactly and that's why these are such a great deal. You spend $300 on the lights, $70 on a good set of HID's and ballasts, $40 for the JRox harness and you're still about $500 cheaper than even a used set of OEM HID's and you have no flicker issue.

Do you think you can retrofit the depos or is there not enough clearance.

Say Evo-R projectors or FX-Rs

Since my original retrofit got busted in the mail, I am getting my fitter to purchase the DEPO ones and install FX-R via salvaging what he can from the broken lights. He's going to measure everything as well. I'll keep ya updated.

Another solution is OEM Taoboe projectors but the purchasing of those is a shady long and timely process using a middleman. The ordering is also done through a Chinese website, although it works. Hooking up the wires I read that it is a pain to get the motors running.

DEPOS don't come with motors, but I don't care as long as it looks OEM now and has the sick cutoff without blinding anyone.

I'll keep everyone updated. I'm pretty sure my retrofitter expedited the depos.

Retrofit means getting a pair of lights and installing your own custom projectors.
Like Halogen housing lights can be pulled apart and new shrouds and projectors can be put in.

The thing with the OEM lights is the wiring is probably more complicated since it is already OEM / SSS HID Bixenon Compatable.

With the DEPOS... it already comes with "Halogen" connectors so hopefully wire tinkering is at a minimal.

Will keep updated for sure no problem.

I pulled the trigger on these as well. I've been wanting HIDs but have the non-SSS reflector housings. I've been waiting a long time for decent priced projectors w/o the halos and leds!

i'm pretty sure you only get it with the sight and sound package. if you don't have a subwoofer in your trunk, then you shouldn't have the DRL.

As long as you have the factory reflector headlights (9006 bulbs for the low beams and 9005 bulbs for the high beams), the headlights will be plug and play.

If you have DRL, you'll have to deal with flickering if converting to HIDs.
