non sss to sss HID help!

Hey guys so I have a 2012 Evo GSR (w/ Halogen headlights) and I just bought some used OEM SSS MR projector headlights. I will now be buying a aftermarket HID kit. Just got a few questions-

1) What bulbs go into the OEM SSS headlights (I think its D2S but not 100% sure)
2) I am thinking of going with 6000K 55W HID kit. Will this be okay or should I go with a 35W one?
3) I also will be getting the levelling switch. Is this a simple install and just plug and play?

Any advice would be very appreciated.

Thanks guys !

I did the same thing in mine, the problem I ran into was, the high beam light (from sss) does not fit in the drl socket (SSS), I took the small metal ring from the sss and installed it into the drl spot in the SSS, the high beams wont really be effective at this point (but that doesn't matter, for inspection I need a light that comes on when the high beams are turned on)
You should run the drl delete , it will save your bulbs from burning out. (I too run 55w 6000k, they are bright, but if you adjust them right, people will not flash at you. It
might take a few tries to hit the sweet spot, you will need an absurdly long screwdriver)
other than that it was a pretty straight forward install, the SSS does run D2S bulbs, (get an extra set of bulbs online as they are hard to find locally with out spending 175 for one bulb, not kidding)
I hope some of this helped, PM me if your run into any trouble.
