SSS non-navi replaced stock woofer using oem enclosure (need wiring suggestion)

I have replaced my OEM Rockford Fosgate woofer with another Rock Ford woofer Prime R2 shallow mount sub. The fitment is perfect, the holes matches with the OEM and the air space requirement is same as the OEM. I did the wiring base on CRUTCHFIELD recommendation (see attached thumbnails). The OEM sub seems louder than my new sub even if the "sub punch" is set at a maximum on my OEM Rockford stereo non navi... should i do the wiring just like the way the OEM is wired (since it is a 2ohm DVC just like the OEM)?

If i were to add another amp (integrated with the oem amp) to power up my sub, can you give me a guidance on wiring?

The OEM sub will be louder because it is more closely matched with the factory amp.

OEM woofer is 150 watts rms (75 per coil)

RF Prime R2 shallow is 250 watts rms (125 per coil)

OEM amp ouputs 150 total watts on sub channel.

To get more bass youll need more power.

A great little amp to use is the RF Punch 300x1 - http://www.rockfordfosgate.com/products/details/p300x1

Youll also need a wiring kit - http://www.rockfordfosgate.com/products/details/rfk8

and a line level adaptor - http://www.audiocontrol.com/17612/64...r-Control.html

Total cost for parts (new) is around $450.

Install should run around $100-$150. Or save the cash and do it yourself.

You can PM me if you have install questions.
