Update maps = update firmware = locked out while driving MMCS?
 

OK, so trying to gather some knowledge here.

It looks like the new map update includes a new firmware. And I think, given some of the scattered reports here, that that firmware locks down the MMCS a bit. It looks like it might make it so that you can't change the address while you are driving.

I really want the map updates, but not at the expense of making my MMCS useless.

just tested mine today, the dvd in motion hack is gone and you can input an address while moving

thanks for the update! If you hold set and navi, what do you see in the menu that pops up? I'm wondering what the new versions are.

something like 40.32 or something along those lines. guess i gotta wait for the hack so i can watch dvds again lol

Does the map update change the map interface? Or just update for locations and poi
