how to upgrade factory nav's map version?

mine is 2008-A. do i need to go to dealer for that? if so how much will that cost? for those who's gotten the upgrade, does the newer version's resolution looks better? mine is so crappy looking.

That's probably the latest. I upgraded mine a year ago and it was 2007 at that time.

I'm up for info too,

It'd be great to take the dealer out of the equation, but it's never that easy...

You need to buy the parts... Put the disc in the drive, open the face, and stick the included dongle in the service port (looks like a headphone port). 30 minutes later - presto.

Not much is different. If you don't need the new maps, save your $.

This is correct. I haven't updated mine. I'm still using the 2006 ones. I asked the dealership and they quoted me 200 dollars on it.
