Heater Control Lights Won't Go Off
 

I have a 2008 Evo X GSR and the lights for my climate control won't go off. (See attached picture of me in the car with all doors close and no key in ignition). The only way I have found to turn them off is to pull the battery or pull fuse 7 under the steering wheel. When I pull fuse 7, they seem to return to normal function, where the lights are off and come on when my headlights are on. Fuse 7 seems to be a radio fuse, which makes sense because I noticed the issue about the same time my brother installed a stereo for me. I think I have some bad wiring or a bad ground or something but I'm having trouble figuring out where the issue it.
I'm doing some testing with a multimeter right now but I'm wondering, has anyone else seen this before? Does anyone have any wiring diagrams related to the climate control harness that could make my troubleshooting easier? Thank you.
