i mean my needle fluctuates from 1000-1800 rpm.not just goes up.and then it settles on 1200 rpm. it does it again today even the fan is off.i was driving to work tonight all of a sudden the asc light warning came up and the cel and tried to step on the gas and the rpm fluctuates and it doesnt give me gas.so i pulled over and turn the engine off, start it again it work fine till i reached my work but the cel is still on.i didnt have time to check whats the cel is though.all this things happen after the tune last saturday.

Sounds like it's going into limp mode. What mods do you have besides the AP? This sounds like something that would happen from an aftermarket blow off valve or over boosing.

I'm almost certain that the problem is the SSQV. Even if you recirculate it, it still seems to throw codes.

And yes, it'll happen after the tune. When the car is running stock boost or near stock boost the SSQV doesn't seem to cause limp modes. As soon as you tune or raise the boost, all hell seems to happen. I really suggest removing it and throwing the stocker back on.

It really has nothing to do with the peak boost, it's part throttle boost that causes it to go off.

I actually have called HKS here in Japan since a few cars I have tuned had the same problem with the SQV. The answer they gave me was, "we are aware of the errors with the SQVs on the EvoX with high boost". "We can only confirm that it will run on a stock boost EvoX, anything other than stock, we can not guarantee that it'll work without errors". Pretty crappy answer huh? So before I tune a car here, I'll always have the person remove their SQV if they have one.
