Will EvoScan monitor fuel pressure?

Is there any reason to log fuel pressure, or do people just do an analog gauge for this? I have an inline pump and want to make sure I know if it fails.

EvoScan will not monitor fuel pressure as there is no fuel pressure sensor in the car. I would only monitor fuel pressure if I started to have a lean running condition.

Yeah, I meant with an external sensor. I guess this answers my question though. I currently am seeing a lean condition, and am trying to decide what to purchase. It sounds like a classic analog fuel pressure gauge is the way to go instead of trying to monitor it continuously.

You may check this thread:

Or this one:

Not sure if that is what you are experiencing, but I have seen this before.

If tephra has identified an unused ADC input (both physical location and location in ROM code), then it would be relatively easy to wire up a pressure sensor. I did this on my Evo 9.

Thanks, this is what I'm looking for. I'm running an external inline fuel pump, and would like a failsafe to monitor its operation at all boost levels. I've considered an analog gauge, but I'd like to have something log-able.

Tephra- if you're reading this, do you forsee this as a future option for us?

Thanks.

What is the best way to contact Tephra? He doesn't check PMs, right?

Traction - Got your PM

1) as mentioned already EvoScan can ONLY log whatever sensors the ECU currently has access to
2) fuel pressure is NOT available to the stock ECU
3) You CAN connect additional sensors - they need to output a 0v to 5v range, preferably linear although its upto you and EvoScan to convert voltage into something meaninful

We have identified a number of FREE ADC inputs (ADC = Analogue to Digital Converter, x voltage into a number) on CT9A however I havn't looked properly for CZ4A.

I will be doing this as part of my altmap setup for CZ4A (for my Meth failsafe) so stay tuned.

Cheers
David

Tephra,

I think you know why I'm all of a sudden interested in this

Has this effort gone anywhere?
