About to Tune - Keep OEM Parts?

Guys:

Thanks in advance for the replies. I am about to have my car done up with some proper bolt-ons, including ets intake, ets fmic with upper and lower piping, ets turbo back exhaust with test pipe, forge wa, forge mbc, and my question is should i keep the oem bits removed? this is coming off a ww 2010 gsr. Yes, the car will be getting an ecu tune by mike @ awd. Im curious if the parts are worth anything to anyone on ebay, or here?

thanks again for your help.

John

i honestly dont plan on building up a track car to go back to stock. this is my phase i. phase ii will be coilovers and wide wheels, and phase iii will be cams, fuel, and turbo. i guess my initial question is basically, dumpster or forum sale...what would you guys do?

Keep most of it..these cars aren't being made in 100,000 unit orders a year like the civic- some of the stuff will be hard to come by later if you need to go back to stock when/if you sell or get tired of a loud exhaust or whatever.

Dunno about the US but here in Japan you get a better trade in value when your car is stock. I guess everyone thinks modified car = took some beatings with the previous owner.

I kept the stock cat/02 housing and the intake box. (In case the world turned even greener)

I sold the FMIC and pipes (on here) for around $200 to a rallyart guy.

I threw the exhaust (catback) in the trash.

Two options:

1) Sell the stock OEM parts in the for-sale section. Someone will buy them if the price is right. I sold several OEM parts off my Evo IX back in the day.

2) Keep all the stock parts. When you go to sell the car, you can go back to stock and part out all your aftermarket stuff. You'll get the most money this way.

there is no emissions laws in fl, so it sounds like the only "keeper" is the FMIC and piping, and 86 the rest. correct?

If you move you might need it. No emissions testing where I'm at either, but if I move two counties north? Emissions.

But, yeah, other than that, the FMIC and the piping sell, nothing else does. I've seen people "selling" whole cat-backs for shipping only (ie, cheap) and getting no bites.

FYI cat requirement is a federal one. Not saying don't run catless (i do and i'm in california) just saying that you are breaking the law so be aware
