from my asking in the wrong thread. Bryan answered and I'm double posting question here because it's relevant with his answer quoted.

Is there any reason we can't leave the stock and the omni 4bar scaled map tables in ECU flash and just activate the switches when we want to use the 4bar tables?

Yes you can do that. Just make sure you are using the 4bar scaling on a 4bar car and the 3bar scaling on a 3bar car.

You should see all the random scalings I have in Ecuflash from testing various things.

Thanks Bryan.

The switch values don't match for the 5269xxxx.

#1 instead of 03B6 is C71C
#2 instead of 0ED8 is DCF4
#3 instead 0ED8 of is DCEF

I moved the switches from 52680015 to 52680022 and got them out of the 5269xxxx that inherits from it, but they don't work on the 5269.

Is there a work around for this?

You probably need the right addresses for 5269xxxx.

I usually just overwrite them in the 5269xxxx.xml file. You won't see the 5268xxxx ones that way.

These are the ones you want:

526900xx
Code:
<table name="Omni4bar #1 0x03B6 -> 0x02FF" category="Misc" address="17d56" type="1D" scaling="Hex16"/>
<table name="Omni4bar #2 0x0ED8 -> 0x0BFC" category="Misc" address="17d86" type="1D" scaling="Hex16"/>
<table name="Omni4bar #3 0x0ED8 -> 0x0BFC" category="Misc" address="17d9a" type="1D" scaling="Hex16"/>

Hope someone can help me. I've been trying to get this working for the past week now. I've gone through the entire process and flashed my car. When I first tried this the car ran poorly and I noticed my informeter wasn't displaying the boost correctly. I changed everything back to stock and the car runs fine. Since then I have plugged in my 4 bar just to see what it says atmospheric pressure is. I keep getting a value of -2.6

Now before I changed my equation in evoscan I noticed that I was getting this exact same value when logging, bringing me to the conclusion that the ECU is still scaled for the stock MAP sensor. Does anybody know what the problem might be? I've gone back and double checked everything. Even started from scratch again to no avail. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

it depends on what EvoScan is actually requesting

can you copy the requestID in here, and let us know what ROMID you are using?

Request ID: 2380871A
Rom ID: 52680018

I got Evoscan to log correctly using the equation that you provided tephra, but when I plug in my infometer to see what the ECU has calculated, that where I get the -2.6 psig value from.

oh right..

well the info meter will use the regular CAN/OBD Mode1 queries.

so the code I posted at the start will fix that.

keep in mind that the infometer will still only read upto 22.5psi or whatever...

double check the changes you made - if in doubt you can send me the rom for me to check over...

Thanks a bunch for your help. I will recheck again to be sure. In the mean time is there a way that I can send you my Rom to look at? Even compressed Evom says it's too big.

just curious...what are the advantages of running a 4 bar map sensor over the stock EVO X 3 bar map sensor if you aren't running over 3 bar?
