Question Mac, EvoScan, Tactrix 2.0 compatibility?

As the title says, I have a mac and just picked up a Tactrix Openport 2.0 cable. I installed the Ecuflash 1.38 for the OSX and from what I have been reading, I learned that this version will not allow me to flash or log data. Has anyone been able to get ecuflash to work on a mac w/o running boot camp and if so were there any issues? I just don't want to run out and spend the money on a PC or a net book. Please help and I don't feel like dealing with the PC/Mac debate I just want a straight up answer. Thanks guys.

Why not just use virtualization software like VMWare Fusion to run both OSX and Windows simultaneously (assuming your Mac is able to handle running both at once)?

Yeah, just run VMWare or dual boot OS X/Windows. Dual boot is easy to setup, and takes like 5 minutes to log out of OS X and into Windows. Virtualization is even easier but runs slower.
