IveyTune Or EFI Logics

Hey guys,

Looking for the best tune on my 2011 GSR. I have delt with EFI Logics in the past with my Subaru and they were the best of the best, but i'm not sure how they will do with my EVO. I've only heard good things about Ivey and his work with the DSM community. Question is, if you had the choice where would YOU go.

Mod List:
Tomei Expreme Catback
Tomei Test Pipe
ETS Open Dump Downpipe
AMS Intake
AMS UICP
Grimmspeed 3 port
Cobb AP

I'm a bit biased, but I went to Ivey for everything.

Great work, great customer service. Sean and the crew are stand up guys.

Keep in mind the VIII and X are drastically different cars. I've seen some great VIII/IX tuners absolutely fail at tuning the X.

I know very little about either shop, but go to the one with a proven record tuning the X ECU.

This, big time.

Make sure they know the X. Also if you don't think they know the X well enough, don't be afraid to do an etune with someone who does know it.

I think Ivey knows the X enough to get you sorted though, he has done quite a few, I haven't seen his MAP's or rode in a car tuned by him so its not first hand, but "word on the street" is he should be able to take care of you.

A lot of people rave about EFI also. I loved the work they did on my 2009 WRX. And they seem to be doing quite a few EVO X tunes also.

Did the EFI Tune fall on its face up top? I know my 09 WRX did this. It pulled like a monster down low.

It is a daily driven car and sees a 40mph roll every once in a while. So what would be best for me?

It shouldn't matter who tunes it, they all accomplish the same thing, or they should.

To me if you actually felt this "moster" torque down low then the tuner just tuned in a bigger boost spike.

I have seen a lot of shops do this, they run like 30psi on 93 octane on a stock block and get mega torque spikes but they still fall on their face because of the stock turbo.

No tuner can make a stock turbo not fall on its face near redline, its just physics.

For a daily all around car I would go with ivery he has well rounded runs that felt like the rpms never wanted to end

Ivey Tune all the way. Make sure you Communicate with him on what your looking to make out the car. I recently Installed an AMS 750R kit on a friends 2011 X care made close to 500whp DJ on Pump with an Open Source Tune done by Sean Ivey.

If you plan to track your car there is only one option for consistent and reliable performance. EFI Logics has a big commitment to motorsports, knows the Evo X extremely well, and know exactly how to prep and tune the car to be a great DD, track car, or full out race car. The size of the facility alone is worth the trip. I'm biased, call them.

If your interest is simply a big number or for drag purposes then, I suppose, you might choose differently.

I have a bad taste in my mouth already after e-mailing IveyTune twice and never getting a response. I know when I contacted EFI Logics Pete got back to me with a short period of time (Less than a few hours)
