You'll find a lot of guys here will defend ER till the end, and for good reason. Lucas is a rare breed and cares far more about the customer that the cars/money. Aaron will get you fixed up quickly now that he's on it I'm sure.

Woooooooooooooooow.

I understand the customers stand point about worrying there car is blown up but seriously. I know they answer right away when you call. I do bug them on occasion lol (Sorry Miles lol).

Unfortnatley since there busy (and actually run a shop) and you are busy yourself. You need to do your due dilligence and try and work around there schedule to try and get your stuff fixed asap.

Just got the car here and drove it.

To answer any questions that remain, the issue wasnt spark plugs nor timing. The car runs and drives great but because of the "erratic" MIVEC I can make full boost at stupidly low rpm. Couple this to a partial throttle boost situation and a crushed BOV we get the symptoms of surge and BOV chatter.

Knock control was not disabled, timing wasnt high in the areas that the car really runs in, BUT the 3 port may have been too aggressive (obviously) for the owners taste at part throttle. Now it more or less holds wastegate line or slightly above to 50% throttle and ramps up from there.

tl;dr-hit or quit it, 20 psi half throttle feels weird.

Aaron

Glad they took care of the problem =) Trustworthy tuners are hard to find that stand behind their work and care about the cars they work on. Good job ER.

Wasn't all over surge. I wasn't being contacted back and I know there busy so I ask a few well known people in the evo x community to look at the maps to see if they could spot the issue. They all said the same thing which made me worried. All I wanted was a lil bit of help to make it drivable with out the issue...BUT Luke and Aaron made it right English rocks. Next time you guys are up here by pir( sir ) I'll buy all of u a round
