im full of em, anyway. Ive used the search function to try and find out what 3 port means. anyone? what is it, why would i get it, needed when tuning, purpose?

 

You've really used the search function regarding the use of a 3 Port and come up with nothing? Try pressing "enter" after you type it in to Google....

a lot of newer turbo vehicles run electronics boost control solenoids to regulate boost. Essentially it is all pcm controlled. A couple of manufacturers sell upgraded boost solenoids to allow for more precise boost adjustment, which also allows you to adjust boost along a certain rpm range where as the manual boost control can not do that. If you do a google search of "3 port boost solenoid for evo x" on google, you probably would've found hundreds of websites that would explain this.

My point, admittedly put quite bluntly, is that there are hundreds of posts on Evo M alone on 3 ports. Read up and then ask more specific questions

 

If you had said that to me I would've thought you were a D1ck too lol. Sarcasm always translates worse through text....maybe you were trying to be funny idk....but I'd say most people would take offense to this.

 

It was not sarcasm but a comment on someone being too damned lazy to do a search themselves on a widely known quantity. Questions like 'what is a 3 port' is hardly a niche subject
