Lost all power...crap load of codes....

So driving home today...spirited driving but nothing aggressive really. 3 blocks away car dumps all boost and barley gets up to speed. Pull over, pull codes....

Got the normal...no big deal:
P0137
P0138

Now the scary ones:
P0223
P1234

I raised the boost limit tables yesterday as I installed the rexpeed O2/downpipe. Any ideas? My Dashhawk wouldn't clear the codes, ECUFlash wouldn't clear them...but PCMScan did... I don't really wanna go out till I know why this happened. Any ideas?

Wow!

P0223,1234 TPS sensor issue...Did you pedal just die? Must have felt crazy. Try clearing the codes, and giving it a go around the block. Check your DP and around that area, maybe you knocked something out of place? WGA pin? Crazy.

No the pedal seems fine... Mostly worried about the "fuel pump control module offline" LOL!

tephra Mar 9, 2010 07:00 PM

have you disabled the Airflow and TQ limit DTC's?

xbox4414 Mar 9, 2010 07:00 PM

No I have not disabled any DTC's...

tephra Mar 9, 2010 07:02 PM

well.............

:)

You are probably hitting the P1235 airflow limit checks..

This also triggers P1234 and P133 + others..

I would start by disabling P1235..

that or actually tune your airflow limit tables :)

xbox4414 Mar 9, 2010 07:05 PM

Hahaha, I wasn't think the exhaust would F' with the airflow limit tables. I'll look into tweaking those again. Also will disable the DTC's.

I see there is a DTC P0139/P0140 disable...is there a P0137/P0138 disable?

Noize Mar 9, 2010 07:12 PM

DTC disable will cure you.
The power is going away because its a hard limp mode.

Regardless, monitor the boost, load, and knock really closely in your logs from here on out assuming you aren't doing this on a dyno.

Looking at Airflow Check tables.... RPM x TPS. What are the "units" in the table?

tephra Mar 9, 2010 07:35 PM

just disable the DTC's :)

just had a similar problem! was on the highway and car just looses all power! heard air leaking from somewhere when i hit the pedal, so right away I knew I had a loose line or something. Came to find out it was my UICP clamp came loose. Problem solved, power is back. Hope you fix your issues I know the feeling.

1234 is one of the byproducts of the torque/airflow limiters, just disable them like Tephra said.

Is that really the best idea? Disable a DTC or adjust the limits them selves? I'm getting conflicting advise from several great contributors to the site.

What's the issue with disabling? Why do you think that is not a good idea?

I'm actually surprised it's taken you this long to hit them. ;)

I think Richard (Gunzo) raised my limits when we were exchanging maps awhile ago, haha. And adding a new O2/DP just pushed me over. I don't know why it would be a bad idea besides you are turning off an alert system for when you reach your limits. Just curious as to what you personally do or prefer to do to not get this CEL. I would think you would tune around it than just turn it off. :p
