AP won't load
I tried to switch the map the other day and it went all crazy on me so I uninstalled it from the car and when I went back to install it again it wouldn’t work. When select "install" it asks me if it is a 2008 USDM Evo X MR, which it is, then it would do its thing and beep and turn the fans on/off and then sends me right back to the "install" option. So I disconnect it and then plug it back in and then I get a message that says "Backing up option" which makes me click uninstall and then it just tells me it was successfully uninstalled.
So in short I cannot load the Cobb AP onto my car which sucks because I haven't run the OEM tune since I bought the car almost 2 years ago and WOW the OEM tune is terrible!!!! My car feels like it runs like crap compared to just an off the shelf map. Cobb AP Firmware - v1.5.0.5-12785 AP Manager version - 1.2.2.1 I have tried disconnecting the battery for a bit then hooking it back up and trying to install and it still will not work. |
Calling Cobb would be the first thing to do.

Yea I would but I didnt get a chance to do it yesterday and now it is the weekend so I thought in the mean time I might as well see if anyone else has had this issue on here.

Doesn't it always work like that? lol Can't things break on a monday morning when everyone is in the office?
|
lol it would be nice. oh well not in a rush since I have to bring the car in to have the new tranny put in (SST) so it had to go back to stock and I wont have the car for a few days.

Have you tried updating your AccessPORT? That would be step one. It appears that your installation was interrupted halfway through the flash and that is what tripped the recovery mode. If you cannot update the AccessPORT, you might have to send it in to have it reprogrammed. Call our customer service line at 801-713-0035 and we can help get your back up and running.
