Cobb can't tune my 2011 Euro spec Evo X :(
 

Hi All :

Need your help here . I have been an Evo 8 owner since 2005 but it was so modified thats it's no longer a street legal car and being used as a race car , for that I Just bought my 2nd Evo but this time it's a brand new 2011 X.
My issue here is even though the car still has 200km only I started to put in my order for a stage 2 AMS kit . Every thing was going ok till the last point where we discovered that Cobb tuner dos not support any 2011 or 12 evos other than USDM ! Now I am stuck and need your advice as we don't have a local tuner where I am and was depending very much on Cobb .

I would think the Evos in Qatar are all Euro Spec cars . Is there any other way of remote tuning my Evo .

Check for another e-tuner. AMS can probably do one for you very easily on their kit.

Have you contacted Cobb? I'm sure they'd be willing to work with you in getting the non-USDM maps available.

Ya talked to Cobb , they say they are planning on releasing one for the Euro spec but will take some time , I asked what if I use the Usdm Cobb , on my car they say we don't know what can happen , I would say it car burn out the ECU , and I heard about some cases .

I also talked to AMS and they told my I don't have any other alternative ... Cobb is the only way to go , I think they stopped the coustom E tunes .

Looks like Evoscan is my only way .

Regarding AMS I was suggesting an ecuflash remote tune. Thats too bad if they did stop - but may its just for non USDM cars.

is the cobb access port worth getting?

For me it is , we have no tuners where I live :(

i dont know about usdm and the euro spec. but wouldnt it be the same ecu anyway? same pretty much everything?

pm beeble. i highly recomend him im sure he does custom e tunes.
