evo x high flow cat installed car picks up slower :(

Hi all, I have a 2014 evo x gsr and the car used to pick up fast and fine until i installed a 3" ams high flow cat on my car and i do notice some gains when i give the car more gas. the rmp will shoot up to about 5-6rpm and drop back down to like 4 is that normal? but the real problem is after my figh flow cat installed the car revvs high but is barely pulling power, I have no idea why. when i'm giving the car gas it just revvs very high and barely moves itll rev to like 5-6rmp in 1st gear and move SLOWLY to 20mph. and revv high again in 2nd gear and pick up slowly again. I do hear more air being sucked in and thats when I notice the rpm boost jump from 2 to 5or around there and drop back to like 3.5. I thought with a high flow cat I would get more air and my car would pick up quicker. (my high flow cat is the only 3" on the car everything else under the car is stock) only mods I did to the car is install an ets intake kit and a bov. i do have a 3" catback exhaust system but didnt install it because i ran across this problem. (also when im in higher gear like 3rd and give gas i do notice faster gains but not in accelerating just high revv) any help how to fix or what I might be doing wrong? maybe because everything else 2" ans the high flow cat 3" it giving problem? maybe need tune? ANY HELP PLS

You probably have a leak and yes you need a tune asap when you remove the stock cat.

uhhh dude sounds like ur clutch is a gonner.

Anytime you have the car in gear and smash the gas and the rpms go up but the car is not moving usually means the clutch is slipping then when it grips a little it will drag the rpms back down. Surprised your clutch is already having this problem since the car is pretty new it looks like. Do you drive it hard?

Sounds like the clutch.
