Whats the deal with the evo X gearing are the gears longer or shorter?

No way. Not on stock power levels you cant get going fast enough to have a reason to shift to 5th.

The more I drive this thing the crazier the gearing is for highway driving; 3500rpm for 75mph. The engine sounds like it really working at 75. I guess I just need to crank the tunes and forget about it.......until the next gas station.

evo x 5 speed has the same ratios as the 9 5 speed, but a diff final drive. I remember reading about it in a SCC mag a month ago or so.

My S2000 is over 4000rpm at 75mph in 6th gear for comparison lol.

I built an Excel calculator and get the raw gear data from car mags. It works with any car as long as you know the tire size, final drive, and gear ratios. I have a lot of cars in the calc so far.

LOL, i remember that. I used to have a S2K too. They're great cars.
