hey guys, we finished this up last week but I wanted to drive on it for a good 4-5 days and few hundred miles to make sure the CEL wouldnt come on and it hasnt. its not available for resale yet but it will be soon as we're working on getting the jigs done now. OK guys, we've been testing this test pipe making sure it doesnt throw a CEL for over a month now with about 2000 miles driven so far. They should be available for order in about a week. If anyone wants to get an order in now, your more then welcome. I'm thinking the price is going to be 195$. This inlcudes the test pipe, hardware and 2 new gaskets and it comes with the CEL FIX right on the pipe already. Let me know what you guys think...

Cool, but does locating the o2 sensor there prevent it from sending proper signals to the ecu to adjust the air fuel ratio? That is afterall the goal of the o2 sensor, to monitor the richness or leaness of the exhaust gases and send the info back toi the ecu for adjustment when needed. Although this ties back into a subject of confusion for me; the open loop vs closed loop thing. I can't remember for sure, as I always confuse these two, but isn't closed loop used when running full throttle where the air fuel ratios are adjusted from predetermined tables in the ecu mapping, taking into account of course the signals from the air temp sensor on the intake/throttle body, but ignoring the 02 sensor? Open loop would then be for cruising and light throttle scenarios and would use the 02 sensor for adjustments on the fly adjustments to get better emissions and mileage. Do I have these right, or am I backwards... or incorrect altogether? I remember some tuner telling me that this is how it works, that the reason the 02 is not used in full throttle applications is because the 02 sensor can't send info to the ecu to adjust the air fuel ratio quickly enough, and that that's why it is bypassed in favor of relying on a pre determined map from the ecu. Any info to clarify this for me would be great, thanks. BTW the pipe does look really cool, though.

What's the projected cost of these pipe(s)? Also how long is the install time. Lets say some one had a lift in their house and wanted to swap the pipes out between visits to the dealership?

The rear o2 sensor is basically worthless and is just there to tell if the cat is efficiently doing its job. It only monitors its narrowband voltage whereas the front one controls everything (ie your closed loop and open loop) etc. Once ecu progrems come out more than likely will be able just to disable it in the mapping without any cel. Pretty much then have an extra $75 o2 sensor for whenever the front one wears out
