EVO X owners assemble!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey just got back from the stealership for my 1st oil change. Car has a 1000 miles on it and I was experencing some minor shifting issues. Anyway, mentioned it to the dealer and took it for a drive with a tech. He called Mitsu Techline and apparently Mitsu is considering issuing either a TSB or a recall because of the trans issue. Mitsu is apparently investigating the fluid not providing the proper lubrication for the gears/syncros.

The reason I'm posting this is because the more people that goto there local dealer and mention this problem the easier it will be to have a recall issued for it. I love my car and I don't want to create any problems but if there is a recall or a TSB for this and your clutch craps the bed its going to be alot easier to have it fixed for FREE.

Thanks,
Jesse

I have an appointment next wednesday to show my dealer the shifting problems and high rpm hesitation. I already called them twice about it to report it, once when it was brand new and then just three days ago.

Is this the "notchy 1-2 and 2-3 shift" problem? If so theres another thread regarding it. I also contacted my dealer, but haven't heard a response

If this issue isn't resolved soon, I will be assembling at the courthouse.

There are multiple threads about this problem. I just wanted to let everyone know that Mitsu is actually about to issue a TSB or recall. But people need to step up and let the dealers know there is a problem. I know alot of dealers are ****** but if you make sure they call it in it should help.

Kind of off topic... Will the dealer deny the recall if I have mods on the car when I take it in for this recall. I just need to know if I should wait before modding
Thanks!

Every dealer is different. My Sti dealer knows I have mods on my car, and has performed warranty work without issue.

ya mine is not notchy, but crunchy. Braught tit to the dealership and they said that its not a problem. That all evos do this and its normal. What an idiot, I argued with the service manager and he agreed its a syncro problem but they were not gonna do anything about it, unless a lot of ppl complained about it.
