I think the jury is still out considering nobody has posted a before and after boost plot and/or dyno plot with just the actuator replaced. To me the best bet would be a stage 3 level of mods car similar to mine where you are trying to max out the stock turbo's performance.

If it does hold more boost at redline then it will be heated more so an upgraded FMIC would likely be a good idea. I'm holding around 19-20 PSI right now but if this can hold 22-24 PSI at redline with the boost set at 26 PSI then it would probably be worth some decent HP on the top end.

So does anyone have any data on what a typical stage 3 car holds at redline with these upgraded actuators?

According to JUN’s website, it increases the working pressure of the stock actuator from 1.0 to 1.3 kgf/cm2 (14 to 18 psi) and will assist in preventing boost decline when operating at high revs and boost.

If I was to install this on stock turbo, is it safe to adjust the working pressure to 18psi right off the bat? What is the difference between working pressure and actual boost level? Will this affect the stock boost level which the stock tune is running (21.75 psi)? I am slightly confused as to how this part works along with a boost controller. Will I run into over-boost situation?

My current mods is only a drop-in filter, with exhaust and ram air intake on the way. My local shop is gathering a shipment on Jun products so I am thinking to get on the list.

Thanks.
