i had the whining noise then my transfer case started to leak fluid then blew and ive had my X since may 14th. i took it to el cajon mitsubishi and they are replacing it right now as we speak under the warranty. should ge her back by friday

my mods are intake, uicp, full dp back 3 inch ehxhaust, bov recircualted and suspension and its the GSR, not the MR

 

are they giving you crap about your parts, i have about the same stuff done to mine, was your whining at high rpms or whenever?

 

the whining was in every gear, and u would usually hear it more after 3000 rpm. el cajon mitsubishi is one of te best dealers i have ever dealt with and with the parts now that i have on my car they dont care, but if i played with the fuel or if i did a tune they would care, luckly i didnt yet

 

The SST has always been a noisier tranny since two gears are always spinning. even came out with a service bulletin about it.
