Where is torque protection documented?? I have never seen anything to suggest some sort of torque protection... I think a few people may have had some issues tuning them, and blamed the numbers on 'torque protection'.

Where is the proof?

Using the sst at that tq on a road track is problem. Drags, and for sure daily driving should not be a problem. Thats my theory

I think launching will be the biggest problem..... will update on my experiences on the track in 3 weeks time! I'm sure it will overheat after multiple laps (1 lap = 5.5km), but i mainly just run time attack! d:-)

Chris, from what I read, the main person talking about this supposed "torque protection" is TTP Engineering. I have questioned the same thing without answer.

hey Karam, I've been meaning to ask. How do you find the larger turbo lag-wise? does it feel laggier than the stock turbo? slightly? significantly?

Hey doc, lag is very slight, compared to stock turbo on exhaust and ecutek, this set up takes 500rpm longer to start to spool! full boost by 3000rpm....

Was on the north south highway yesterday, was cruising at 180-200kmh, oil temps under 100deg celc!

hit vmax of 270kmh! car felt great and was still going! The gearing of our sst rocks at high speeds mate!

The lag you're comparing to is with stock or tuned ? based on your graph I assume ?

3000rpms was based on your eyeball judgement or logged ?

A evo with air filter changed and an exhaust and 4 persons on board has already gone beyond 270kmh

I'm asking because the X with just intake and exhaust is only within 15FHP of what you have .. so in effect you're under utilising the turbo .. why change then

I hope I don't sound offensive .. I'm just confused why do all this ??
