Project SST with Blouch Dom2 and cossie cams

Hey guys, i got these parts installed over the past 2 days and the dyno tune was this evening!

My car has the following power Mods,
Blouch Dom 2
Cosworth 266 cams
800cc injectors
ETS 3" FMIC
ARC upper intercooler pipe
Blitz Sus Power intake
Kakimoto Catback Exhaust
Ultimate Racing Resonated Test Pipe
Ultimate Racing O2 housing Downpipe (RHD version)
Ecutek

The car was tuned at 1.5 bar (boost) and it hold 1.5bar of boost all the way, boost graph was like a straight line graph on the ecutek logger.

I cant upload the pdf of the dyno chart as it is more than 800kb, max limit is 100kb, any ideas on how to upload it without sacrificing quality? cos the graph is in yellow and is rather light, so it would be hard to read if the quality was poor.

anyways figures at crank (flywheel) are 63.2kg/m torque at 4591rpm and 436hp at 6413. the power figure was still rising but we played it safe and ended the runs wel before the rev limit. (1.5 bar)

in comparison a sst with ecutek, drop in filter and full exhaust doing 1.6bar boost dynoes at and 350hp crank and 55.9kg/m torque!

With the cams turbo lag is hardly noticeble and the difference in spool is only 500rpm!!! and once boost comes in it just pulls hard all the way! You really only feel lag if your in 6th gear and crusing at below 2500rpm. above 2500rpms the car feels great! i decided to keep the boost low so as to protect the sst cos i dont know anyone else who has done a turbo swap on a sst yet!

Ok i print screened the pdf and copied to paint and its under 100kb so i can attach the file.... happy viewing and to all fellow sst owners, there is hope!!! hehe

Nice numbers, I am sure the SST guys will be happy to see this.

However let us know if (more likely when) you run into tranny problems and solutions. I know there are lots of people waiting to figure out how to make that tranny hold more powah.

are these numbers using the stock sst tranny? I thought it could only support up to 350awhp??

Awesome! did the SST protection kick-in with this much power? did you have to increase the stiffness of the SST via Ecutek to cope with the power?

Lol

The power is like straight line up!

You gota give us more insight on the SST, how is it reacting to the power?!

I would just caution that I'd back the torque down to 53 Kg-m to preserve the life of the SST as that's what the published rated torque limit of that tranny from Getrag.

Yes more info on SST power. There is an entire model year of RAs looking for SST strength info. Thats some damn good news for us.

Hi guys, its been only 1 day so far, but the sst is fine at wot....*touchwood*
there is another sst in singapore running higher torque than me cos he runs big boost with methanol! his car has been on that set up for i think close to 6 months now and the gearbox is still ok! he too will be running more power soon once his cams are tuned!! I think this higher torque levels might cause the clutches to wear out faster than expected, but the life off sst clutches is roughly 8-10 years.... so even with slightly accelerated wear, i dont think i'll run into problems this year..... hopefully not anyways!

the idle is very smooth, but you can tell that there are cams in the car, as for the sst, its completely stock.... i'm waiting for extreme boost to come out with their clutch packs!! lol

Is there a possibility that USDM equipped SST vehicles are the only ones with a protection mechanism?

What sort of protection is this? Electronic protection? I though that car flashed with ecutek automatically change the torque request, but im not sure on this.

From my experience so far, there is no acting up from the gearbox.
The only downside to the turbo is the sst in normal auto mode likes to change up at around 2000rpm, so on the next gear its at 1500rpm, the car feels really lethargic at this rpm.

If u drive it manually changing gears or in auto sport then all is good and you'll be smiling with all that torque pushing you forward!
