08 Evo X MR

hows it goin, i have a evo x mr and im pushing the limits of my auto tranny. how much of a pain is it gunna be to switch or the trannys or am i better off takin out my parts and try to sell the car stock, thanks

Why does everyone buy a auto and then want to put a new transmission in it?

sell the mr and buy a gsr, im sure it will be cheaper then doing a tranny swap

I read up on some places upgrading the X MR tranny to withstand higher levels of torque? If that did happen and they're up for consumers, that's probably your cheapest bet.

whats pushing the limits? 350whp I would think. I have a MR as well. I would put it back to stock and sell. Even if you had the new clutch for the MR installed (2,000.00) and its not even out yet. Then you will be sucked in. If the tranny blows after that, then what. Theres a reason all the shops chose the GSR for Big Hp. Mines at 300 to the wheels I may tweak a little and take it up a bit but I'm happy with it.

I wish the MR came in a manual transmission too, I want the extra options it has but dont want to sacrifice a clutch pedal

You're better taking your parts off and selling the MR. Swaps like this are often hard to get done right, always expensive and IMO require much more effort than they're worth.

alright guys thanks for the help. i apreciate it. im probrably going to go get to around 340 awhp, if i dont like it il take my bolt ons off and switch for gsr, i highly doubt im gunna get the tranny upgrade just because it really is just to expensive just so u can get more hp from a car that should of been built with this new tranny.
