02 sensor

looking for 02 sensor.... i have seen some people having the problem of stripping the bolt on an 02 sensor, it happened to me, but i want to know if there is another way of replacing it other than buying from the dealer and paying $325? any suggestions??

you could try using a heli-coil kit.

it could work if you get the right size.

it would be waaaaaaaaaay cheaper than buying the denso o2 sensor from mitsu.

..if you get the new 02 sensor..

before you install it.. get a tap and "clean up" the threads in the 02 bung.

coat the threads of the new sensor with a little anti-sieze before you put it in.....
.....that way , if you need to remove it again ,
it will come out wthout tearing the threads off of the sensor....

...the original problem was , you tore the threads off of the sensore when removing it , due to the threads being siezed in the bung.
