Exhaust Heat Shield ok to remove?

No heatshield can start melting harnesses and burning up sensors...just like the X guys with tubular manifolds are beginning to find out.

I know this post is old but for what it's worth mine was removed and i burned up my cam senor, got a p0017. I have a '12 gsr

This could just be my problem, but leave it on.

That exhaust manifold heat shield doesn't really do anything, have mine off for a while and my temps have been the same. If you can get an aftermarket one get it Cermaic coated then it'll actually do something. I guess only thing it'll really protect is what others said, wires and etc.. I've had mine off for awhile now.
