Evo X short shifter ?

I had found only two offers - WORK and TWM. Who else does it do? Which is better? Thanks.

I got the TWM and absolutely love it. I think only TWM's has a jog to left in the upper shaft, to make it easier for us American drivers who sit on the left side of the car.

T1r...

I have a T1R shifter with bushings and it's great. it is shorter than the TVM and reasonably priced as well. There is a sim that shows the difference of shifts on gearheadsonline. They have some other stuff that's pretty awesome too. Got the titanium knob to match...

There are two more T1R and Mode (which is double adjustable). Of all the designs, I seem to prefer Mode. As far as knobs go, T1R has some of the heaviest and get my vote.

I have the WORKS (and their urethane hybrid bushings) and it's great; definitely recommend it. However, I've heard only good things about the WORKS, TWM, and MODE short shifters. The TMW and WORKS look to be pretty similar and are offset to LHD (US driver's side) which is nice. The MODE shifter isn't offset but offers adjustable height and throw that the WORKS and TMW don't. And the T1R may be nice as well but it's relatively new and I haven't heard much about it. GL.

Same as MODE but before MODE came out and Cobb downsized...

TWM because it shifts the knob to the left. That's huge IMO.

According to the pictures of the other short shifters on the market, our short shifter for the Evo x is the most aggressive in throw reduction. Also, as pictured above, our short shifter features a double bend toward the driver for a more natural and comfortable driving position.

I have the Cobb (Mode now) and I dont know how they say it only shortens the throw 15% or whatever they say... it's adjustable so low that you can make it like 1mm away from scraping the mount, it easily shortens the throw as much as the others or more. Plus the height adjustment, can't go wrong... very nice piece of workmanship too. I had a TWM in my last car, very nice, but I opted to go with the double adjustable over the TWM this time.

+1

I love my Cobb. At first I set it so low it was scraping, then I went back so it cleared just by a millimeter.

Twm is 30% shorter
Work is 25% and Cobb is 15% throw reduction.

I'm going with twm

I have tried both TWM and Works and both are excellent products, as far as the throw, there was no difference between Works or TWMs.

My concern is that the more drastic the reduction in throw, the more the effort thats required especially with an already craptastic tranny like the mitsusushi trannies....
