i think i got a lemon

i posted awhile ago about transmission problems i was having with my new evo x gsr...well now at 3k miles my bone stock evo barley idles and died at a light yesterday while in neutral...then last night i went outside to move it and it took 4 tries to start ( the starter was turning but thats about it). So im no expert but i dont think a $35000 brand new car should have all these problems..i mean whats going to happen when the cars actually got some mileage...honestly wish i could just get my money back and i will never buy a mitsu again

My X died like that a few times in the beginning. its really not so big of an issue.

if you're going to be modding it at all, just get a tune or and accessport. that problem went away as soon as i went stage 1. before I installed the AP my car was having trouble starting sometimes too just like you described, but now its running fantastic especially after the updated maps

Happened to me a couple of times when I first got mine but no issues since...wouldn't worry too much just give it a while and then if anything back to the dealer you go.

I completely agree with getting an AP or a custom tune. Makes a world of difference.

just tell the dealer about your problem about the car dying then ask him for a re flash and secure all lines. when i got my x my idle used to bounce around like crazy until i installed the intake with heat-shield. It never sputters anymore. I went from a pissed off mood to being delighted after getting this intake. Sounds sick and I don't need to worry about heat.

im guessing its a 2010? do you have the latest dealer ecu flash? although i think the 10's should already have it... i had a similar problem with my 08 after driving a bit, turning it off for a short while, and then restarting it, it would sometimes sputter a bit. after the dealer flash it ran much better. i would try and make the dealer give you all the updated relays as well.
