Magnus CMC engages high?

Recently a friend of mine had his Magnus CMC installed. He tried to lower the engagement, however it was still just as high as stock if not higher. I thought we could lower the engagement with the new unit so it wasn't as high. I am not sure if he has the clutch pill removed. Would removing the pill help lower the engagement? In the event he does have the clutch pill removed, what else could be the cause of the high engagement? He's running an Exedy twin btw.

the magnus does have a high engagement point. He'll get used to it quickly, I don't even notice mine anymore. And on the plus side, his cmc won't break every month like other's seem to...

Wish I could give some good advice on how to fix it... but I love mine. I do admit it does feel different but it works better with my aftermarket clutch.

Yeah, I parked murlo's car once and the engagement point was the first thing that I noticed. I'm sure you'd adjust to it after a bit.

Thanks guys. I have one installed, but haven't driven my car yet as my motor is being assembled as we speak. So have any of you launched with this set-up?

Sure, like twice...seemed to work fine, hard to tell as all 4 tires were spinning and my 2 step is really high and I suck at it...but it worked

I've got the Magnus CMC and Exedy Twin HD and the engagement point is extremely high. You get used to it after a while. What's taking me longer to get used to is the need to use higher RPMs to engage the clutch. Anything under 2.5k and I get clutch vibrations.

I didn't have the clutch pill removed nor have I attempted to mess with the engagement point.

So far I've launched almost 10 times with this setup and it's a dream.

I am pretty sure you cant adjust the engagement point on the evo...

you might want to contact Magnus and see if they can recommend something.. maybe more or less screw on the kit bits will help

It is adjustable, however my mechanic when adjusting it didn't really improve it much as he wanted to make sure the clutch was fully disengaging.

My engagement is high also with the magnus. I felt like an idiot b/c i couldnt get used to it on the way home b/c i would rev ...and rev... and rev... and then the clutch would engage lol. I have a little bit more adjustment to go. Dont think ill get it back to stock position tho. Took the pill out also. Pedal is def a little stiffer than before with my Exedy.

ok so I got mine installed..

two questions:
1) how have people set the screw on piece? At the moment my clutch pedal (because of the spring) wants to pop-out maybe 1-2cm more

Is it bad for the master cylinder to be constantly "bottoming out" (well topping out)?

2) The engagement is high, will adjusting the screw on bit so it has a longer throw fix this issue? as it almost seems like the clutch wont full disengage...

Actually just thinking about it, if the master cylinder is all the way out (which it is, because the pedal spring wants to pull it out even more - but cant) then the only thing we can do is adjust the slave...

is the slave adjustable??? ie can you slide it along the transmission at all?
