Help!!! In the middle of DP install..

Hey guys i have been installing my Map Downpipe since 5:00... I have removed all 5 bolts... Cannot get to the stud on the driver side near the turbo.. Do i need to remove the heat shield around the stock DP? I am lost.. I cannot figure out how to get to it... I have taken the spring bolts out and the lower half of the DP out. I am stuck.... Please HELP ASAP...

I just went through that this weekend. It was no fun. That nut is accessible with an open ended wrench from the top. You have to almost get on top of the motor. Use the two-open-ended-wrenches-linked-together-trick to get extra leverage. Use lots of penetrating grease.

Do this, you need a high tooth count ratcheting wrench or a lot of slow work with an open ended wrench.

My advice of getting on top and using lots of grease still applies here.

Yeah, buying a 14mm ratcheting wrench is worth it for this application alone. I did not have any ratcheting wrenches and the entire install took me 12 hours lol.

Yup... i used a ratcheting wrench from the top... came off very easy. DP is in and its awesome.. Just gotta get a retune sometime to get the extra HP outta it.. But other then that putting a new DP in was cake... Stock DP can suck it.

i have big hands, when i did mine i bought a flex head 14mm and have stubby ratchet wrenches. i could not get at it. i had to use a combination of extentions and pivot attachments.
