Car ran lean running at the track
I took my car to the track today and ran it three different times. The first two times no problems at all ran decent but unlike u evo guys I dont have launch controll best I did was 12.7 with a 2.0 60'. Any way the last run car ran great but toward the end of the run right around the 1000' my car kind of studdered I looked over at the wideband and it was super lean so I got out of it right a way and got on the brakes. The car still managed a 12.8 at 88mph. the car wasnt damaged at all still runs and drives fine with no problems and on the way home I got on it again on the highway to see if it still happened and the afrs were where they should be around the low 11s high 10s once jumped up to 11.4 with no studder. I wasnt logging so Im not exactly sure what the afrs were but when I glanced over they were really high. Im just curious to see what others thought it might be that made it do that. Could it be the stock injectors hitting their max? Im not sure what else it could have been. After that run I just dropped to 1/4 tank so I was thinking maybe it was the weak pick up for the fuel pump. Thanks for any input.
It was pretty high up there Im not exactly sure because I wasnt logging but it look to be maybe 15-16. I got off of it right away so it went full lean I didnt ride it out to see exactly what it was running at. I guess thats what I get for not logging while Im running. Ive had problems before starving the car for fuel running the car low on gas like a dumb *** but I wouldnt thing the higher end of a qtr tank would be too low. Im guess that might have been the problem.
