SST Mods for my new setup?
SST Mods for my new setup?
Finishing up a (bolt-on) build for my Evo X MR; in short, DOM 2.0, GSC2 Cams/Beehive springs, ETS FMIC/Piping/Intake, 93 oct, etc.. I won't really be tracking the car, and pretty much just drive around town, so, my question is...
Should I consider:
- SSP's clutch packs with seals
- SSP's front mount trans cooler
- Both?
- Neither?
If neither, I assume the stock trans should be able to handle the 350wtq it should produce?
Thanks!

My car has spent its entire life since new with more than 350ft/lb, the last 600 miles at 417ft/lb. It now has 6,800 miles and it feels fantastic. Only when it starts slipping will I upgrade the SST clutches, but no sign of it though. Guess it also depends on tuning.

Same here, with about the same power on my MR. I did track it, but the tracks I went to had long straights so it was enough to cool the transmission. Usually drove in Sports / manual mode.
