Bigger/Better Turbo

I'm thinking about upgrading my turbo here pretty soon to reach my 400whp goal, but I have a few questions since this is a big step for me and my evo. Thinking about the GT3076 kit by ETS to get there. Now what kind of upgrades would I have to make to support this turbo? The kit comes with the ETS exhaust manifold and everything else that is required for the complete installation. I've read a post about an evo x making 400whp with GT3071R turbo, 800cc fuel injectors, AMS intercooler w/ upper intercooler piping, AMS intake, turbo-back exhaust, fuel pump, and a tune. Is this about everything I need to support the turbo I'm planning on getting? My friend, who owns a twin turbo 370z, also recommended I upgrade my engine internals, so I don't blow up my engine at high rpms. I do not plan on racing the car or anything crazy like that, but this is my main daily driver. I know the clock starts clicking once you mess with the engine. I just want to make it stay clicking for a little while haha. What would you guys upgrade if you're trying to upgrade the turbo? Thanks for everyones' inputs ahead of time.

Everything you said above would make a nice package. I would get ID1000 or FIC1100. No need to touch the motor. I have been on 400whp for over 20k. **** happens but you should be good with a reputable tune. Get a 3 port too and some gauges

Maybe look into an EFR kit from driven fab or cbrd too. Seem like the nicest turbos out there for our cars.

Do they make a gtx3076?

Ball bearing seems like the way to go

Seems like a good list of what you should need.. like wolf suggested would get a grimmspeed 3 port boost controller.. Also stock block will handle 400 easily. Usually wont have to touch it until about the 500 TQ range is what I have seen

They do make a GTX3076R turbo. What's the difference between the GT3076R and GTX3076R?

Thank you for the advice. And I thought the boost controller by Cobb was a 3-port?

I'm not going to say I can or I can't. But the thing is they don't have E85 where I am. And I'm not aiming for 400bhp I'm going for at least 400whp

Intake, FMIC, turbo-back, cams + springs, BOV mod or upgrade, and a 3-port can *just* get you to 400whp with a good tune on 93

400whp is going to depend a lot on the dyno you are on.

I'd get the RB-X kit CBRD just released if I could do it all over again haha.

But bolt-ons, fueling and most any stock frame turbo will get you to where you want to be. Just get a good tuner and you'll have a very reliable car.

Gtx is ball bearing

Gt is journal bearing

Ball bearing > journal bearing

380 torque is the limit for our block some try and go to 400.

500 torque on a stock 4b11 is terrible advice.
