In search for a stock frame turbo upgrade...coming from a built bbk full evo 8 to thisstockish evo x im saddened that they offer a bbk anymore and a used one is like a ****ing unicorn riding a cow that jumped over a moon while a pig flew next to it
so whats the options FP? called they arent making them....MAP EF arent making them...so what it there to do trying to keep the motor DD able and just a roll race daily 450-500hp and lower the TQ save the rods

Dont know what my hp range is now as theres not a AWD dyno close to nashville, TN so just gonna e tune it but need ideas or options also slightly day drunk and can't spell very well so lets leave my gramer out of it

 

I'm pretty sure you can send a good core to FP and have it upgraded to a journal bearing green/red/black. You have the MHI 18k turbo which is basically an FP green. HKS has a new bolt on turbo coming, and Blouch has one as well.

 

The new Blouch Dominator line is substantially similar to the BBX that CBRD stopped making. There's a thread around somewhere on it.

I thought the MHI 18k couldn't reach the 500whp mark...

 

A member on evoxforums did 513whp with the 18k and S2's on E85. Lots of boost though, I think he was running 32lbs.

 

or... if you are buying a manifold/downpipe and turbo- check out our RBX kit- as it works with oem style intakes/ic pipes and includes a bov, 3 port boost solenoid etc-

I will just share my own research experience since I wanted to hit that same HP range. If you will run pump gas, sounds like maybe the FP Red or Black, BBX, EF4 etc Full will hit that (Bigger Turbos). You will have to send them a core though and deal a little with the lag


I am installing my BBX Full this Week with Chad at CBRD (WOOT!) So I will let you know the power that it produces. He also recommended the GTX 3576r. Both of these are twin scroll, which helps a little with spool.


Other than that after reading forum post after forum post it sounded like if you wanted to hit that power, you would be probably best with a T3 kit or a kit like CBRD's (which looks awesome by the way, Chad showed it to me in person a few weeks back)


If you run E85, you have more options for the turbo.
