Quickest ACD pump to fail on FE

Year: 2015 Evo X FE White
Bought car: 07/16
Pump started to fail: 3228 miles

I'm pretty sure my ACD pump is failing. I'm getting "4WD System Service Required". Read engine codes are ACD and C161E. I pay $100 a month to garage my car in the winter and rarely drive. 3228 miles damn....

I thought salt and eventual corrosion killed these things. - thus solutions like the trunk relocation kit and moving to live in Arizona. I didn't know they were just prone to issues.

There have been some cases of them leaking and losing fluid.

spam2012, have you checked your fluid level?

good idea about checking fluid levels but at 3200 miles and it being garaged for almost a year. I see no signs of liquid loss on my garage floor. I will try to take some pic under

Possible it was low from the factory too. They don't have the best history when it comes to filling fluids. In 2010 a lot of Evo Xs blew their transfer cases because the factory overfilled them.

it took a few hours for Mitsu. dealer to replace the ACD pump but they had it in stock and replaced under warranty for free. I looked at the real invoice and it was $1600 damn...Now when the car is idle it makes noises and sometimes turning. is this cause for concern or just the pump breaking in?
